 Good afternoon all,

Here is the updated information for the Sept. CSG workshop/meeting to be held
Sept.  16-18, 1998 in Chicago.  The workshop/meeting will be held in
the Gleacher Center on the downtown campus of the Graduate School of
Business at The University of Chicago, about 4 to 5 blocks away from
the Lenox House Suites, where we will be staying.  

** Conference Registration:

Please send your conference reservations to me ASAP, indicating whether you
will be attending the full-day workshop (calendaring & email), the
half-day workshop (IT organization, advisory committees, and distributed
support), and/or the CSG meeting.

** Conference Hotel:

The Lenox House Suites, located at 616 N. Rush Street, has a block of 60
rooms held for us under the Common Solutions Group.  The cutoff date of
Aug. 26, 1998 has expired.  

The rooms are available for booking through Friday Sept. 18 only.  The
hotel needs to know if any of the rooms need to be reserved through the
week-end.  If you could get that information to me ASAP, even before
you make your reservations with the hotel, that would be great.  We have
a choice of the following:

10 Studios (1 queen size bed), $139 per night
20 Deluxe Doubles (two full size beds), $149 per night
30 King size rooms (1 king size bed), $159 per night

All rooms are equipped with mini kitchens, data jacks, two phones, and
voice mail at no additional charge.

** Airport Transportation

There is no shuttle service through the hotel; we have been advised to
take the Airport Express - phone number 1-800-654-7871

Midway Airport - Airport Express is located across from the South
West Airline ticket counter.  They run every 10 minutes, costs are $11
for a one way trip and $20 for a round trip.  If you choose round trip,
reservations will need to be made one day in advance for pick up from
the hotel, they will pick you up 2 hours prior to your flight
departure. Travel time to the hotel is 30 to 40 minutes.

O'Hare Airport - Shuttles run every 10 minutes also, costs are $16
one way and $29 round trip.  Travel time to hotel is 45 minutes to
an hour.  Airport Express is located at terminals one, two, and three,
near the lower baggage claim.  Round trip users will also need to phone
one day in advance for pick up from the hotel to the airport.

** Conference Meals **  

Group lunch and dinner are provided on Wednesday and Thursday.  Box
lunches will be provided at the close of the CSG meeting on Friday.
Continental breakfast will be provided for all three days.  Please let
me know  ASAP how many meals you will be attending, and any special needs
(dietary or otherwise). No later than September 11, 1998

** Conference/Hotel Transportation:

The hotel, the Gleacher Center, and both restaurants are all within
walking distance of each other, so we will not be providing group
transportation.  Maps will be available on check-in at the hotel.
Please let me know if you need special transportation arrangements.

** Conference Connectivity:

We will provide, outside of the meeting rooms, a table or two with
several phone lines and with several DHCP-enabled RJ-45 Ethernet ports,
plus a network connection to the front of each room, for presenters.

** Conference Audio Visuals:

A video projector, an overhead projector, and audio will be available.
