 Hello Everyone,

Here is the information for the May CSG workshops and meeting to be held
Wednesday through Friday May 27-29th at Pennsylvania State University.
The meeting will be held in the Penn State Conference Center Hotel in the
conference wing.

Conference Meals:
Group lunch and dinner are provided on Wednesday and Thursday. Box lunches
will be provided at the close of the CSG meeting on Friday. Continental
breakfast will be provided for all three days.

Conference Connectivity:
A total of 12 network connections will be provided for both the workshops and
CSG meeting. You will need to register the MAC address of your ethernet
card.

Conference Audio Visuals:
A computer projection system for Macintosh and PC platforms, a
whiteboard or flipcharts with markers, a podium with microphone, and
35mm projector will be provided.

Conference Reservations:
Please send your conference reservations to kwk@umich.edu or
dhess@umich.edu at your earliest convenience (but please no later than
May 5th.). I apologize for the lateness of this message, it took a
little while for us to get "up to speed". Please send any special needs
(dietary or otherwise) when you send us your reservation, also indicate
which meals - lunch Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, Dinner - Wednesday
and Thursday that you will be attending. We have planned a buffet
dinner for Wednesday night at the Penn Stater. The decision has not
been made for Thursday as there are three very good choices. That
information will be sent as soon as possible.

Hotel Information:
The Penn State Conference Center Hotel:
A block of 60 rooms is being held for The Common Solutions Group until
May 5th. Please make your reservations with them before that date.
Their number is 1-800-893-4602. At the time you make your reservation
at the hotel please indicate to them if you need the shuttle service
from the airport. Their Guest Services Staff will provide this service
when asked. Also rental car, limousine, and taxi service are also
available. If needed the Nittany Inn will also hold a few rooms for us.
Their number is 1-800-233-7505.

Airline information:
Russ recommends three airlines (USAir, United, and Northwest) and four
hub airports (Pittsburgh, Dulles, Philadelphia, and Detroit) for travel
to Penn State.

Airport:
The closest airport is the State College Airport (SCE). It is only 10
minutes from the Conference Center/Hotel. The other airport servicing
this area is the Harrisburg International Airport. It is ninety miles
southeast of the Conference Center. Rental car service is available
from this airport.

*** PLEASE SEE IMPORTANT AIRPORT CLOSURE INFORMATION BELOW ***

There is a detailed map of the area on the CSG
(http://www.stonesoup.org) website. The agenda for the meeting is also
on the website.

If you have any questions or concerns please send email to Karen Kitchen
or Debbie Hess.

Thank you for your patience.

Karen, the University Park Airport (State College) is going to be enlarged
this summer. This is good news, however, there will be times when the
airport will need to be closed for this work. Unfortunately, one of these
will be May 29 beginning at 8:30 pm, reopening at 6:15 am June 1. This
should not be a problem for most people in CSG since it ends at noon, but
could be for some who either intended to stay over for the Saturday
overnight rate or cannot get a flight out before 8:30. There is still the
option of leaving out of Harrisburg. We thought you would like to forward
this information to the members, encouraging them to make reservations as
soon as possible.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
