Good Afternoon Everyone,

Here is the final round of information for the Spring 2007 CSG Workshops
and Meeting to be held May 23,24,25, 2007 at Columbia University New York, NY.

Conference Hotel:

Hotel space is being held at The Lucerne Hotel under the Common 
Solutions group name at a discount rate of $250.00 + tax per night.

reservations by calling 1-800-492-8122.  The room block ends early, 
on April 7, 2007.

Meeting Space:

The workshops and the meeting will be held in the Auditorium in 
Alfred Lerner Hall, on the corner of Broadway and 115th St.  See 
campus map http://www.columbia.edu/about_columbia/map, bus service 
will be provided from the hotel to the meeting and back.

Nearest Airports:

The New York City area is served by three airports: LaGuardia (LGA),
Kennedy (JFK) and Newark (EWR).  The hotel and Columbia are both
located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.  Taxis cost approximately
$30 from LaGuardia (not including $4.50 bridge toll), $45 from Kennedy
(flat rate, not including $4.50 toll), and upwards of $50 from Newark
(not including $6.00 toll).  Kennedy and Newark also have rail
connections to Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan.  See also the

Public Transportation:

Within Manhattan, subways and buses cost $2 and you need to purchase a
Metrocard to use them.  Metrocard kiosks are at every subway station
but at no bus stops.  The hotel and Columbia are both on the #1 subway
line on Broadway at 79th St and at 116 St, respectively.  You may also
use the M104 Bus, which runs along Broadway.  See also the

Conference Meals:

Continental breakfast and break services will be provided for 
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.   Group lunches and dinners will be 
provided on Tuesday and Wednesday. Box lunches will be provided at 
the close of the CSG meeting on Friday.
