Here is the first round of information for the January 2003 CSG Workshop
and Meeting to be held January 15 through 17, 2002, at the University
of Texas, Austin.

Conference Hotel:
The conference hotel is the DoubleTree Guest Suites Austin, 303 West 
15th Street, Austin Texas.  The cost is $139.00 plus tax per night. 
You may call 1-512-478-7000 to make your reservation, be sure to 
mention the Common Solutions Group so that you will get our price. 
We are holding 50 rooms in the block for Tuesday through Thursday as 
usual.

Guest rooms reserved for the Common Solutions Group will be held until
December 26, 2002.  Any reservations not booked by this date will
be on a first-come, first served basis at the best available rate.

Nearest Airport:
Austin is served by Bergstrom International Airport http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/austinairport/.

The only other airport within reasonable driving distance from Austin
is San Antonio.  It is about 1 1/2 hour driving time from Austin.
For those concerned with the lack of nonstops to Austin, it might be
worth investigating this option.  However, regardless of airport, you
will likely have to change aircraft.  UT Austin recommends Bergstrom.

Driving directions to hotel from airport (Bergstrom):
Exit airport to Highway 183 North, continue on 183 North to 7th 
Street, left on 7th Street to I-35 and turn right on access road. 
Stay on access road to 15th Street, left on 15th Street. The hotel is 
six blocks down on left at the corner of 15th and Guadalupe. Travel 
time is approximately 15 minutes.

Parking at Hotel:
Daily Parking Charge: $10
Valet Parking Charge: gratuity 15%

Conference Venue:
The CSG workshop will be held in the Avaya Auditorium in the ACES Building.

The CSG meeting will be held in the Connally Room of the Lila B. Etter Alumni

On-campus Parking
For those who wish to park on campus instead of using the CSG shuttle
bus, there are several public parking garages on campus; none are close
by.  Parking garages G6 on the corner of Speedway Blvd and W 27th St
and G1 off San Jacinto are closest to the ACES Building.  Parking garage G3
off Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd is closest to the Etter Alumni Building.

Conference Meals:
Continental breakfast and break services will be provided for 
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Group lunches and dinners will be 
provided on Wednesday and Thursday.  Box lunches will be provided at 
the close of the CSG meeting on Friday.
