Good afternoon all,
Here is the first round of information for the September 2002 CSG Workshop
and Meeting to be held September 17th through 20th, 2002, at the University
of Washington in Seattle, Washington. In addition to our usual Wednesday-
Friday meeting there there will be a CSG Vendor Discussion from 1 to 5 PM
on the Tuesday the 17th, sponsored by Microsoft.
Conference Hotel:
The hotel is the Watertown Hotel in the University District. They
can be reached at 1.866.944.4242 (see
http://www.watertownseattle.com). They have reserved a block of 55
rooms for us for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. PLEASE
HAVE YOUR RESERVATION IN BY THE CUTOFF DATE OF August 15, 2002. The
rooms are at the discount rate of $119.00 - single to $149.00 -
double suite, depending on room type per night.
Check-in time is 3pm check-out time is 12 noon.
Guest rooms reserved for the Common Solutions Group will be held until August
15, 2002. Any reservations not booked by this date will be on a first-come,
first-served basis at the best available rate.
Nearest Airport:
The nearest airport is the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
(SEA-TAC), please see http://www.portseattle.org/seatac/default.htm,
about 30 minutes from the hotel.
Airport Transportation:

rental, taxi, shuttle and other information.
Driving directions to hotel:
The Watertown is easily accessible from SEA-TAC airport-
Start out going North on INTERNATIONAL BLVD/WA-99 towards S 176TH
ST., take the WA-518 E ramp towards I-405/RENTON/I-5, merge
onto WA-518 E., take the I-5 N exit on the left towards
SEATTLE, merge onto I-5 N., take the exit- (exit number 169) towards
NE 45TH ST/NE 50TH ST., keep RIGHT at the fork in the ramp,turn
SLIGHT LEFT to take the ramp towards N.E. 45TH ST./UNIV. OF WASH.,
stay straight to go onto 7TH AVE NE., turn RIGHT onto NE 45TH ST.
Turn RIGHT onto ROOSEVELT WAY NE. The hotel is located at
4242 Roosevelt Way NE.
Parking:
Parking is available in the hotel's underground garage. In the event
the garage becomes filled, guests may park at the University Inn,
4140 Roosevelt Way NE, about a tenth of a mile south of the Watertown.
Conference Venue:
The meeting will be held in the combined meeting rooms (Wallingford,
Montlake, Fremont) at the Watertown Hotel. Messages for attendees may
be left by calling the hotel at 1.866.944.4242 or 1.206.826.4242, and
asking for extension 258. Based on recent experience, only wireless
networking support will be provided in the meeting room. If you
require wired networking, please let me know ASAP.
Conference Meals:
Break service will be provided at the Microsoft meeting on Tuesday,
no group dinner is planned for that evening.
Continental breakfast and break services will be provided for
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Group lunches and dinners will be
provided on Wednesday and Thursday. Box lunches will be provided at
the close of the CSG meeting on Friday.
